PREPARING FOR MULTIPLICATION

In the last update I shared how we’re not organising our usual events this autumn due to the reduction in international student numbers and COVID restrictions.  Sadly there will be no Living RoomExplore International in person or international freshers week events.

However, whilst this door has closed for now, God has opened a new door, which could multiply our outreach more than before.  We will facilitate Explore International groups online, enabling people around the world to explore the Christian faith. These groups will be led by those on our Apprenticeship programme who will invite their non christian friends along.

However, these groups are not our ultimate goal.  Our real aim is to see people becoming Christians in many different countries and then leading Explore International groups next time round, sharing the good news with their friends.  If ⅓ of guests go on to lead groups, then those hearing the gospel would double each time (36, 72, 144, 288!).

To make the most of this opportunity we really need your prayers!  Thanks for praying for the right speakers to give the talks, 7 out of 9 have agreed.  We also need to prepare resources with multiplication in mind, to train, equip and facilitate new leaders.

FUELLING MULTIPLICATION AND GROWTH

With dreams like this we definitely need to pray!

I’d love to invite you to our online prayer meeting Tues 15th September 7.30pm - 9pm.  This will be an opportunity to pray for all that we’re working on, and to hear directly from some of the internationals involved in these projects.  Join us on Zoom by clicking here.

INCREASING CAPACITY

I’m delighted to welcome Laura Palmer as our new Assistant Staff worker currently working with us 1 day a week.  She says:

“I am so excited to have joined the team and really feel its God's timing and provision. I wanted to continue serving and reaching international students, having developed a passion for this over the past few years. I'm so thankful to have the privilege of investing in these students lives, equipping them to be current and future world changers."
