IWW FOLLOW UP

EVALUATE, CELEBRATE, CARRY ON!

Congratulations! It was a mountain of work, and many unexpected obstacles came up along the way, but you did it. Praise God. But, before you get swept up in the sea that is settling into the newest season of university life, it’s good to take a moment to evaluate how IWW went, to celebrate the wins with your team, and to take steps to ensure the warm welcome you’ve given to International Students is carried on through further involvement throughout the year to come!

FURTHER INVOLVEMENT

The following are all great options for International Students to get plugged into so that they continue to be served, cared for, and warmly welcomed during the rest of their time here in Leeds! Have a think about which would be best for each person and then invite them along as appropriate.

EXPLORE INTERNATIONAL

An opportunity to discover faith, friends, and food. A course carefully designed with International Students in mind, so it will be accessible whatever your level of English!

THE LIVING ROOM

A weekly term time gathering for International Students in Leeds! Make new friends, have fun, and discover more about British culture every Tuesday night!

LOCAL CHURCHES

Sunday services, and small groups, are great options for International Students interested in learning more about Jesus and engaging with the Christian faith.

CHRISTIAN UNION

Whether it’s the International Hall group, weekly CU evening meeting, or a one-on-one mentorship any connection with the CU is perfect for International Students.

TO DO THE WEEK AFTER IWW:

  • Feedback Forms - Create feedback forms for the team and have them to fill it out online.

  • Debrief - Look through pictures of the week, exchange stories, and pray together.

  • Follow Up Meeting - Meet with Transformations Leeds and the Organising Committee to touch base on follow up plans.

TO DO BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER:

  • Meet With Us - It would be great to have an evaluation meeting with Transformations Leeds afterwards.

  • Feedback Forms - Organise the data from the feedback forms.

  • Recommendations For Future - Write out your recommendations for next year so the process can improve.
